About the Journal

Focus and Scope
The Advanced Interdisciplinary Science and Technology (AIST) journal is a premier international forum dedicated to publishing pioneering research that transcends traditional disciplinary boundaries. Our core mission is to move beyond multidisciplinary work and foster true interdisciplinary synthesis, where the integration of concepts, methodologies, and data from diverse fields creates novel frameworks, solutions, and paradigms.

We welcome high-impact contributions that demonstrate a seamless blend of fields to address complex global challenges and open new technological frontiers. Our scope encompasses, but is not limited to, the following converging areas:

Nano-Biotechnology: Bio-inspired nanomaterials, nanomedicine, drug delivery systems, nanoscale imaging.

AI-Driven Discovery: Machine learning for scientific discovery, AI in materials design, data fusion techniques, intelligent systems for healthcare and engineering.

Sustainable Energy Systems: Next-generation solar cells, energy storage materials, smart grids, carbon capture and utilization, life-cycle analysis of energy technologies.

Convergent Bio-Engineering: Synthetic biology, neuroengineering, organ-on-a-chip technologies, advanced biomedical devices.

Advanced Materials & Manufacturing: Smart materials, additive manufacturing (3D printing), biomimetic composites, materials for extreme environments.

Environmental Systems & Technology: Climate change mitigation technologies, pollution monitoring and remediation, sustainable agriculture, water purification systems.

Computational & Data Science: Integrative modelling of complex systems, large-scale data analytics across domains, quantum computing applications.

AIST is committed to publishing research that is not only technically excellent in its individual components but is groundbreaking in its holistic, integrated approach.

Open Access Policy
AIST operates a gold open-access (OA) model, designed to maximize the visibility, accessibility, and impact of published research.

Gold Open Access: Authors have the option to publish their articles as immediate, permanent Open Access upon payment of an Article Processing Charge (APC). These OA articles are made available under a Creative Commons Attribution (CC BY) license, which permits unrestricted use, distribution, and reproduction in any medium, provided the original work is properly cited.

Archiving: All content, regardless of access model, is permanently archived to ensure long-term preservation and availability.

This gold model ensures that we can serve a global audience while maintaining the highest standards of peer review and production quality.

Peer Review Process
AIST upholds the highest standards of academic rigor through a fair, unbiased, and thorough peer-review process.

Initial Check: All submissions undergo an initial check by the editorial office for technical and ethical compliance.

Editorial Assessment: The Editor-in-Chief or an assigned Associate Editor from our interdisciplinary board assesses the manuscript for its scope, novelty, and interdisciplinary merit.

Peer Review: Manuscripts that pass the initial assessment are sent to a minimum of two independent experts from relevant fields. Our unique process ensures that reviews evaluate both the technical soundness within each contributing discipline and the success of the interdisciplinary integration.

Decision: Based on the reviewers' reports, the handling editor makes a decision: accept, minor revision, major revision, or reject.

Revision & Acceptance: Authors are invited to submit a revised manuscript with a point-by-point response to the reviewers' comments. The revised version is re-evaluated before a final acceptance decision is made.

We employ a single-anonymized peer review model (reviewers are anonymous to authors, but authors are not anonymous to reviewers).

Sponsorship & Disclosure
AIST is published by [Publisher Name]. The journal is editorially independent of its publisher. Operational costs are covered by subscription revenues and Article Processing Charges (APCs) for Open Access articles.

All authors, reviewers, and editors are required to disclose any potential financial or non-financial conflicts of interest that could influence the research or its evaluation.

History
The Advanced Interdisciplinary Science and Technology journal was founded in 2025 in response to the growing need for a dedicated high-tier platform for truly integrative research that drives scientific and technological revolution.

Archiving Policy (LOCKSS & CLOCKSS)
To guarantee the permanent availability and preservation of digital content, AIST is committed to long-term digital archiving.

LOCKSS: The journal is archived with the LOCKSS (Lots of Copies Keep Stuff Safe) system, which provides a distributed archiving system for libraries and publishers to preserve scholarly content.

CLOCKSS: The journal is also archived with CLOCKSS (Controlled LOCKSS), a trusted, non-profit, community-governed dark archive that ensures the long-term survival of web-based scholarly publications.

This ensures that the research published in AIST remains accessible to the global scientific community for generations to come.
